Anyone used Spartite on their boat?

I am looking into the leaks & my mast is one I would like to solve Spartite seems to have good reviews but I trust this group more.

Ed- Split an innertube in half as you would a bagel to make a sandwich. Wrap half of it one and one half times around the mast and collar with band clamps top and bottom. Fill the track slot with silicone. Cover with a Sunbrella cosmetic collar to match the rest of your canvas. I have never leaked a single drop, and the cost is only a few bucks. Jim

I have heard from a surveyor that the inner tube on the anodized mast will ruin the finish on the mast.  For what this is worth.

I use the WATERBOOT.  Kind of like the innertube however it is white and has a velcro seam so that you can remove it as required.  I have used the same boot for 6 years with no problems.  I love it. Here is the link...

I had my main pulled last year to upgrade everything at the top & new cables & wiring.  When re-installed, I had the Spartite job done.  The only problem is the Spartite stuff is Blue in color, which is subject to UV decredation.  The yard said that after it sets up for a couple days, to paint over it with some silver paint, which I did.  So far everything is great.  No leaks.  I'm happy with it.  I asked how will it be to remove the mast in the future.  Answer, "it just pops out".
