Hi everyone, i'm new to this site so forgive me if i'm asking a question that has already been answered.
I have my Paragon Saod apart and need to know how thick the clutch plates should be.
I'm in the UK so nobody over here has ever seen one.
It's in pieces because i thought that the lining on the reverse band had worn away but i understand that the later gearboxes didn't have a friction lining on the inside of the reverse band!
My prop is a 17x10, has anyone repitched for more thrust?

The 17x10 3 blade LHP (or a 18x11 2 blade LHP) was developed for the W40, 1:1 transmission with the 2:1 v-drive to create optimum performance for the horsepower.  A higher pitch would not allow the engine to reach optimum rpm and best utilization of the available horsepower.  A lower pitch would allow the engine to "over-rev" above the recommended rpm.   The owners of the variable pitch propellers can really answer this question because they have the opportunity to try different pitches.
