Hi All, Well it looks like Sirena is off the hard and heading south to the Charm City Baltimore! I am sailing down from Great Bay Nh I hope to be in my new slip by the 7th of July 08. I would love to hook up with anyone in the Baltimore area to show me the bay. I will be living aboard at Anchorage Marina and working in B'More for at least the next 3 years. Give me a shout out and Cheers to all of you.....It's GREAT to be sailing again.

Where can I find this rain forest treat? Im a chef...talk to me about stuff to cook and I know. Talk to me about wood...I know it grows on tree's. You said it was from South America ,is like iron wood? Can you buy it at your local lumber yard? Someone I know did their bow in that "fake Teak" made from recycled plastics...I tell you it does not look bad, pretty strong as well. Mine is the stock system .Last summer someone hit it while we were away and took a chunk out of the teak, bent the roller over, knocked both my 35lb CQR and 44lb Bruce off the pulpit. A friend told us a big power boat with a drunk skipper showed up at another cove looking for repair's  later that day but really did not know what happened to his boat .
He said something to the effect "I found my boat this way,I was taken by space craft, etc." I hope the Bastard get's probed by someone! That said, it's time for a refit! Oh yes, what is the best chain /rode combo? Cheers.

Pearson 365/367 Yacht Club / hypalon tubes
February 06, 2007, 12:51:24 PM
I have a well used walker bay 10 footer(I asked my bride for her hand and the rest of her) in that dingy. This year we are adding the Hypalon tubes that walker Bay sells. We believe adding the Hypalon tubes makes the most sense for use (we love our Walker Bay) the cost is high but it looks like the pay off is pretty good. WE upgrade and keep the best tender we have ever had.

We have a SS port side chimney for our Force 10 propane cabin heater(had a wood stove) It works great and prolongs our cruising season, it gets FN cold up here! On cold wet day's we can lay around and read or do winter projects in warmth and comfort.

We can spin and lock our wind machine in place so it doesnt bother other sail configurations.it works pretty cool.

Pearson 365/367 Yacht Club / site back up
February 05, 2007, 09:55:24 AM
Great job on the site! Doug you rock! 365's maybe old, but still remain one of the best cruising boats for the money you can find out there, they are strong and fast passage makers at the hands of a skilled crew, Doug proves that every time he's out on the water. It's great to have a home again.

General Photos / stuff on the boat

We love our Amp Air 100 wind generator mounted on the mizzen. We live life on the hook most of the time, so this guy keeps us charged all the time. One of the best additions we have installed to date. The red, white and blue flag's are pendants from a few races we have won(our home is a fast passage maker!)If you look closely you will count eight crew in our cockpit, welcome to our neighborhood. This shot was taken at the start of an over night race(we won! AARGH!!!) The Battle flag is my own design, we call it the Boney Mae, our boat is called SIRENA which means "the Mermaid"so it made sense to me...so did the bottle of rum I used for inspiration, to use a mermaid skeleton holding a torn heart(depending on what project I am working on the boat) Glad you liked the shots.
