Teak removal

Thinking about removing the beat up old teak from the combing around the cockpit. The teak is worn down to the point that the screw heads are exposed. There appears to be non skid under it. It's probably time to rebed everything anyway.
 Rather than replace it, I'll probably just fill the holes and clean things up.
 Any thoughts?

First welcome to the group.... I will update the list of "known boats" tonight with Decision's information....

I know of several owners who have removed the teak and painted or put non-skid material around the cockpit... My take is, that doing so would be an improvement in safety (as the teak can be a tad slippery when wet) and maintenance (huge reduction in annual maintenance effort)....

But, you know, I really like the look of the teak trim on the boat... Below is a shot of a 365 without teak...
