Need to replace my Raritan 6g water heater.   Will be replacing with a cube heater.  Pictures, narrative, advice much appreciated if you have done the installation.  Cheers!

I installed a PrecisionTemp instant hot water heater. Spendy, but very effective and seems to have addressed all of the saftey issues associated with a marine install.  Three years in place and working flawlessly.

Thanks for the info!  Have been considering an instant heater but have been concerned with where to install and how to handle the venting.  Very much like to see some pictures how you did your install.

Will be aboard in the next few days and take some shots. Briefly, it's a 12x12x12 inch box just needs a good gas line install,  12V lead and a sizable exhaust vent to your stern with the usual precautions about seawater entry. Most folks have thier water heaters right where I put my new heater-starboard cockpit locker forward against the bulkhead.
Nothing excites more debate than propane water heaters-I've heard all the concerns-this manufacturer seems to answer all legitimate ABYC concerns-the Major one being an isolated burn chamber and power vent. At the level of detail they have gone to I think you either are willing to use propane or you are not. Either position is reasonable. Your insurance company may disagree.
