Injector Pump Leak

OK  - Less Learned.... I spoke with the tech that rebuilt my pump. He used the pump manufactures serial number for setting Max RPM not the Westerbeke spec.... Easy fix with an comment in my customer file (Warranty Issue) I was able to break the seal (paint drop) and adjust the stop on the pump to increase the throttle range of movement until the beast was able to reach a max RPM's of 3,000. The tech knew his mistake as soon as mentioned the RPM numbers.

Same solution for idle, just the other stop had to be adjusted.... This one he could not explain why he set this wrong....

So what was the lesson learned - take the Westerbeke spec sheet with the pump and leave it when using a large diesel repair shop....

Another day and little bit smarter.
