Does anybody know where Pearson bought the propellor shaft Struct for the P365.  Vessel Lady Ella hit an underwater object. The diver says that the Struct is loose at the hull attachment. If it needs replacement is there a direct replacement? How is this corrected it the struct is completely bad?

They are available- somebody on here ordered one and then didn't need it. I checked the chandlery section and didn't see it there.

INCOMMUNICADO

Wedelstein,I would start by pulling the boat out of the water. The strut is a tough part,if you did damage to it you may have bent your shaft. The strut is bolted through the hull the nuts are located under the aft end of the engine. They are no fun to get to but I think doable.Remove strut check strut bed for damage if damaged repair.Check strut, shaft and prop.A good prop shop may be able to repair prop and shaft.I hope this will help some. I am willing to bet the strut is repairable, but will probably have to be rebeded, A prop shop or machine shop should be able to help out. If you really need a new one try Buck Algonquin. :-\

I bought a new strut for Endless Summer in 2009. It came from Prue Foundry in Dennis,MA. They told me they were the foundry that did all the castings for Pearson and O'Day. They had all the old molds for everything. They cast the new strut complete with new cutlass bearing. I just picked up the old holes and bolted it in. Worked good. I can't find the receipt but I think it was around $650.00. The phone number is (508) 385-3011. I hope this helps.
