WOW!  Hull #1
Rest assured, owning hull #1 is a great honor.

I was fortunate enough to own hull #1 of the Sabre 32 series.  The boat had several little extras never put in the remaining builds just to go to the Annapolis boat show.  It was also the boat used for the interior shots for the brochure, all very cool.  As the story goes, the boat was a bit behind in the build schedule to get it to the show, so they ended up splashing it at a dealer in Rock Hall, Maryland where they determined where the waterline really was.  The boat was removed from the water, the stripe applied and away it went to the show. We actually were aboard the boat at the 1983 show and remember loving the boat.  Seven years latter we ended up buying that very boat.

Anyway... you have been given a great honor. It would be interesting what if anything is on your boat that never made it to the rest of our boats.  In the case of the Sabre 32, there was extra interior trim and finishes that was viewed as too expensive for the rest of the builds.  There of course were a couple of things that were I suppose first build issues that I discovered.  The boat sold a few years back and headed back to South Casco home of Sabre Yachts.   I was told the new owner was a neighbor of the owner of Sabre Yachts.  He bought it and it went back into the factory for refurbishment.

Welcome aboard and keep in touch on what all you are doing the the old girl.
