Hello everyone,
I am considering replacing my head system with a composting system. Does anyone have any information regarding the pro's & con's? Would really appreciate opinions on performance and installation.
Thanks,
Phil

Phil,  I like the idea of composting toilet, but the units are large for our head space.  The ledge that raises the current marine head propably would need to be removed to lower the seat of the much taller composting toilet to a manageable heighth.  There is a lot of chatter in the web blogs about this topic but not enough positive that makes me want to put one in.

Phil,
From what I have read on the units those that I have seen, they have a 12 volt fan that runs continuously.  That could be an issue.

i put a composting head in last spring , Nature's Head, however due to the weather and work a real test run was not completed.  The stories I have heard and the cost this seemed to be a cost effective plan. I did hook up a cut out switch for the fan.
