cabin sole

The cabin sole is plastic I think no teak.  The previous owner had cut and loose laid carpet pieces which I removed because they were nasty.  I still kinda like the idea of carpet, maybe polypropylene or some kind of indoor outdoor.  If I leave it uncovered, how to clean it?  Vacuum and scrub and mop or what???  Or maybe some sort of non skid paint?

The teak and holly in our boat was plywood. It had a lot of water damage and was delaminated in some places. I removed the teak plugs, the screws, and pulled it out. There is molded in nonskid underneath. I filled all the screw holes with epoxy and we rolled it with gray non-skid paint. It looks good and it's low maintenance. We used Interdeck- it took about 1/2 quart for the cabin sole. We are going to use the same paint on the deck, but add some white to lighten it up. We think it will make the boat too hot in the summer if we don't add some white to it.

cork tiles, are easy to glue on, have a warm feeling, and look good.
