Does anyone have any experience with attaching a tiller pilot ram to the  top of the windvane. The blade of the windvane is removed. This combines the economy ( cost and amps) of a tiller pilot with the mechanical advantage of a wind vane.   Peter

I believe these are all custom installs. You have to build linkage and a bracket to get the tillerpilot on the wind vane. It is a great idea, in that you use the low amps of the tiller pilot and get the steering force of a servo pendulum wind vane. The tiller pilot replaces the air vane to become the input for the servo. If done well, the wind vane can be used with or without the tiller pilot. I have seen photos of several of these conversions on the internet. I may go this route eventually as a replacement for our wheel pilot, or to give us a backup auto pilot.

AFAIK, the Cape Horn supports this specific configuration as a stated feature. I have not used one like this, so I must qualify my statement.

I just checked the CAPE HORN website.   This is perfect for the 365
