As the title suggests, both the throttle and gear shift levers are stiff.  Anyone have any suggestions for loosening them up?  I am heading out to the boat tomorrow to work on this (and other things).

Yup, we did this. Remove the compass. You can see the levers and cables inside the pedestal. Unpin the cable ends from the levers. There are setscrews that go in from the bottom that engage a groove in the shaft. You will need to remove the setscrews. ( I didn't know it was there when I drove out the throttle shaft. This made another mess that I had to deal with). What we did was polish the shafts and lube with silicone grease. There are plastic bushings in the pedestal. The throttle and gearshift are smooth now. It is not too bad of a job, a little difficult because there is not a lot of room to work.

Thanks.  I seem to have plenty of other tasks to tackle tomorrow so I will put this one off for another day.
