Hello Group,
I am one of the newbies having just joined and hopefully helping you get to the magic number.  I am retired from the construction industry, having been forced by the terrible housing market to do so.  My wife will retire at the end of this year from government service and we will go cruising. Kept a Catalina 30 in Deltaville, Va. for over 12 yrs.,then moved to Jacksonville, FL where I have resided for 13 years now. We plan to go cruising in January. My boat of choice is the Pearson 365. I am going to Chesapeake City, MD. on Wednesday to look at a 1974 365 that has been totally refurbished from what I can tell in photos, new sails, new engine, etc. It looks surprisingly like Maruska in that the hull color looks the same.
It also appears that this is the oldest 365 I have seen.  I need all the help I can get inspecting this boat and any advice any of you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to being an active member of this group. I am, at the moment, boatless, having sold my Catalina a few months ago. I have been on a Pearson 365 quest ever since.  If all works out well, I should be a Pearson owner in a few days.  I know my post is late for advice, however, things developed very rapidly. Nevertheless, I will watch this forum daily in anticipation your knowledge. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Sonny,

Good luck in search... This is not a sells pitch, but I just received an email from Jim Underwood in the Chesapeake area to tell me that he is putting "Sabrina" up for sale. She is Sloop rigged 365.. I have not spoken with Jim in several years so I can not tell you much about the boat today. I do know that Jim is a serious sailor that has always taken very good care of his boat and equipped the well. I do know that she has had a far amount of money put in her and might be worth the time to look at her if you are in the area.

If you are interested in contacting Jim you can reach him at http://www.sailingseadragon.com/Manuals ... ise%20.pdf

Good luck
