Hi Gang

My boat is in FL I am in TX too far away from my new boat!

Can anyone tell me a good length to have my jack lines made to I have a guy here in Houston who will make them to order but needs the length.

I would like them to go from bow cleats to stern cleats.
I was thinking 40' but do not want too much excess.

365 Ketch.

Thanks
Ed

Ed,

I run Jacklines from the anchor platform (cleats) to the base of the last stanchion on board Sea Dragon. The lines have a loop on one end and they are finished on the other end. They are 35' long and bright yellow. I have been threatening to install Wichard folding padeyes to the outside of the coaming for better aft attachment points... But alas, the padeyes continue to sail the Chesapeake in a store locker on-board Sea Dragon.

You can see the jacklines in some of the pictures on this page.

I hope this helps.
