Has anyone removed their anchor roller setup?  I have added to my spring list the removal, strengthening and refinishing of the anchor roller support.
My plan is to cut a groove on the underside of each longitudinal support teak strip and imbed a stainless strip of bar stock in epoxy into each piece.  The teak structure will keep the stainless strips from rolling over under load, and in essence the roller platform will be seven strips of roughly 1" x 1/8" bars on edge.  This should provide the strength the current design is missing.
My question is, do I have to remove the headstay fitting to remove the teak platform or does the platform lift up and over the headstay fitting?  I went down to the boat today and it has about 8" of frozen snow on it so I can't tell.  Does anybody know?  Thanks in advance.

I added a windine anchor roller mount. Pretty heavy duty, bolted it back and slightly above the teak strips to remove the stress on them. Kevin Tashee
