Nightwind

Hi Guys!

New guy here!

I purchased the Nightwind last year. She is a 1983 36' 367 Hull#49, which from what I can tell is the last 367 hull manufactured in 1983. She is my life-a-board in Ventura Ca. I would love to post a picture but...not sure how on this site. Maybe after I snoop around some more. From what I have been told by other Pearson owners, when she left the manufacture they had installed and designed all the available options, including the aft quarter berth. The pervious owners must have been fanatics about the maintenance and upkeep because there is and was nothing to do on this beauty! Enough bragging....so glad to have found this site and would really enjoy meeting more Pearson owners out this way.

Happy Sailing!

Hi Mike,

Welcome to the 367 ownership.  I have hull #46, named FarAway.  Have had FarAway going on 22 years.  It's nice to see you got a 367 in such beautiful condition.  You'll enjoy the boat.  The 367 is a joy to sail and a very capable world cruiser with a few modifications.

If you have any questions about outfitting and upgrades feeel free to contact me.

Safe sailing,
Lou

Hi Lou,

Great to see another 367 with such a close hull #....bet they got layedup and built next to each other. So is FarAway masculine or feminine. Need to know if your boat is a brother or sister...laugh loool. Where are you in the water?

With so many years of ownership, you'll be a great help I am sure. One thing I did see when I first bought her (yes she's a girl), is that many Pearson owner had issues with the bow sprit and replaced them. A 367 from Portland Oregon came through here about two years ago and while exploring our local Channel Islands they broke the sprit after getting their anchor fouled and the repair cost them 7K. Attached picture was my answer to this issue but I have yet to but any real stress on it yet.

Today I install a xtrace link lite meter. Moving though the What appears to be original equipped stuff slowly but surely. I own Mike's Consignment Marine Supply which has been open for 9 months today and the shop has been affording me some nice gear...roller furler to replace the club foot stay sail setup, new never used 1993 Muir Cougar Windless, tons of gently used hardware and tons of misc. onboard jewels like floating winch handles, dock steps, BBQ's. I should stop bragging but it's a great new business, especially if the owner is a sailboat owner! Check it out it you like and if you see something you may want I'll cut you a discount to my sister/brother 367! www.mikescms.com

Anyway it was really great to hear from you and look forward to many more emails.

Mike,
Read your post the other day but took me a while to sit down and welcome you into the fold.  The good news is that the systems on the boats no matter what flavor you have are pretty much the same.  I would be careful saying you have nothing to do, gremlins have a way of hearing things like that.

Let us know what we can do for you and good luck on the boat.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the welcoming. You're right about gremlins...would hate to get any bad juju.
