Cockpit locker shelves?

I am looking at the cavernous port and starboard cockpit lockers and am trying to design a way for some compartmentalization or maybe a shelf along the hull. Either way it will require tabbing to the hull. It seems that anything will need to be removable for those time when you have to crawl in and stand on your head. Has anyone done this? Pictures?

I put a "canvas" shelf in my cockpit lockers. Sorry no pictures but I epoxied some small blocks of wood to the hull and cockpit inside the locker and screwed eye straps to the wood. Then I hemmed a piece of sunbrella cut to fit. I ran a light line through the hem with slits at eye straps. By adding a couple inches to each edge it helps hold items in place.

I put a shelf in the starboard locker against the aft bulkhead for my Heart charger/inverter, another high on the outboard side of the hull for a battery, and one on the outboard side of the port locker for the refrigerator compressor. Those attached to the hull are epoxied to hull with substantial knees underneath. I have had no failures. I use thickened epoxy and sand the hull surface well first, glue in place, then make a fillet all around. I generally follow West guidelines. They all are no more than 12 inches wide and do not inhibit my 6' 3" 190# self from getting folded in to do maintenance. Good luck. Jim

I have cut and fit a shelf for the starboard cockpit locker. Once I get it glassed and tabbed in, I will post some pictures.
