Sail Locker

Has anyone figured out a way to build a ledge to stand on while in the sail lockers? The round hull sides make it quite difficult to work on the engine etc. Constantly being pushed downwards on the knees.

I just kneel on a sail bag.  Or lay on it.  OR stand on my head on one to reach the back of the engine.

yea, that's pretty much what I do now. I am going to try to figure out some better arrangement. Cheers!

I have a step at the aft end of my sail lockers. They make getting in and out easier and it gives me something to sit on when working on the wiring on the port bulkhead or the engine. Shelves between the ribs are also useful, My reefer unit sits on one on the port side.
