Just purchased Tartanic (name will change) here in San Diego. Boat is in great shape, and I can't wait to get to know her better. I am reading all the posts here nightly to get up to speed on this boat. Looking forward to learning more!

Greetings, I have signed up, I can login, but every time I try to make my first intro post, the system says I have the letters wrong and the riddle answers. I am using Safari 18.5 as my browser. What in the world am I doing wrong?

Due to an unfortunate mistake, there is a crack in our mizzen at the port spreader attachment point.  I would like to attempt TIG welding a doubler as a fix.  Can anybody a) confirm that the alloy is 6061 and b) provide the thickness of the mast material?  Thank you in advance.

The couple I have seen have been mounted under the Ice Box.
 So raw water flow would be V-drive, trans cooler, Eng.

Could anybody with BW 71C post pics where he managed to find place for oil cooler please? Kinda struggling to find proper position with path for raw water hoses in mind..

I know the site has been really slow initially loading and pages are kinda slow loading. I'm trying to figure out why and how to fix it.  If the site goes down, it's just me tinkering with it to get it working better.

I'll add to this thread once I think I have it fixed. I guess it might take a week or two  when I can squeeze in the time.
