I apologize for posting this query in the Hurricane Ida topic.  I have no intention of being onboard Phantom during a hurricane, with or without a riding sail.

My query is to keep Phantom swinging less at anchor.

Perhaps this is a tad off subject, but you can transfer propane from one tank to another. This is what I do on Phantom, specifically topping off the main tank so I do not have to change tanks underway.  If you were to utilize this technique, then you would carefully inspect the existing horizontal tanks.  If they are serviceable, then make the transfer hoses.

This would allow you to fill your existing tanks from a current tank.

Do not do anything unsafe.  Propane will blow you to the moon!

I replaced all ports with NFM bronze in the mid 1980s.  Tremendous improvement with ventilation.  Look is great as well.  I cannot comment on the quality of thePhantom Dodger 08.jpg  current ports but mine were excellent.

I have these as well.  They are probably stiffeners.

Similar but not the same.  NFM uses turn dogs to compress the gasket.

It is not like my bronze New Found Metal 5x12 ports, but the gasket in on the lens.

We also use a small fender tied between the inflatable and the mother boat.  There is always some movement and tearing a hole in the inflatable will ruin your entire day.

I have the original removable davits.  The dinghy hangs about the height of the combing.  We do secure it with four lines: one at the bow , one at the stern and two breast lines.  If the dinghy is allowed to swing and slide around it will rub on anything on the stern of the mother boat.

I am no expert, but propellers have prop walk, some more than others.

Instead of trying to eliminate prop walk, why not use it as a tool?  It can assist in turning the boat, docking and etc.  It is, therefore can be learned, compensated for and used in our maneuvering bag of tricks.

The instructions that came with the original 365 stated that the bow platform was an anchor storage device, not an anchor retrieval device.  With that in mind, a few owners beefed up the platform with bob stays.  Others shortened the platform to the extent that retrieval was possible.  This is the approach I took on Phantom.

Even thought you may feel or think that the stanchion bases are not leaking, the aft base is the most common source of leaks over the chart table, especially the area over the aft shelf.  I have known three 365s with this problem and sealing the stanchion base solved all three problems.  One boat had an additional leak in the port gasket that was flooding the overhead light at the chart table. 

The aft stanchion bases are the bases most likely to leak since they are the stanchions that get grabbed the most as people board.

Not that these are the only source of leaks.......

I am unaware of any specific book about the 365.

Typically, the fresh water pump for all pressurized water aboard is located in the forward portion of the starboard lazarette.  The hot water heater, if present, may be there as well.
