Needing to sell the boat before the end of the year as we are traveling abroad for an extended period of time and will not be able to fix it up. Please forward to anyone interested. Much appreciated,
Jason

The other pulleys are turning so its just that one. I will removed and see about rebuilding it. Looks hard to get off.

I noticed a burning rubber smell and when I checked the belt it looks like the fresh water pump pulley is not rotating. Any advice? Have to pull it off and rehab it?

In case anyone else is interested,  I found these instructions online from another website post. I've ordered the liner material and will give it a try in a week or so:
For completeness I included material list and Edson's instructions below. Materials - McMaster-Carr brake liner metal-free 3/16"T 1-1/4"W 6175K812 $3.91/ft http://www.mcmaster.com/#brake-lining/=s2sqod - Loctite Black Max Adhesive (or epoxy) Brake Lining Replacement Instructions (from Edson EB355_689BrakeInstall.PDF) 1. Remove old brake pads. Clean legs with solvent. 2. Bond new pads to brake legs with generous amounts of supplied adhesive or two-part epoxy. 3. Clamp brake legs around a pipe approximately 1 1/2" in diameter while the adhesive cures so that the new pads conform to the shape of the legs. 4. After adhesive has cured, trim brake pads along edges of brake leges with a band saw or hack saw. 5. Reinstall brake components as described inside and check operation before installing cotter pin. 6. If brake does not clamp properly, check that washer has been installed between shaft shoulder and A743 starboard brake leg.

Wow, no luck today! Maybe I will just add my own somewhere. Doesn't hurt having the numbers in two places right?

Thanks,  I will look around tomorrow again. I have the paperwork in my name and all just could not find where it was carved in. I'll let you know if I find it tomorrow.

Can't for the life of me find where the PO put the permanent registration number inside the hull.  Any common places people put these on the 365?
I'll keep looking...

The brake isn't holding very well anymore. Has anyone just replaced the brake lining material? With what? I was hoping to get something working without buying the whole Edson brake maintenance kit for $80. Wondering what material would work well for the lining.
Let me know if anyone has done this or has a good idea.
Thanks,
Jason

Noticed water under the engine going down to the bilge. Traced it back to the rudder stuffing box. Seems it was going on for a while, I just got this box a few months ago. Can this be repacked in the water? Our should I just try tightening it down till a haul out? Any advice is appreciated,
Jason

Would love to see pics of this modification so I have a better appreciation.
If you have time, thanks,

Thanks Dale. I got it back on the by loosening the back stays then using a Prusik knot on the Hyde stay and winching that down with my windlass. Harder than I thought it was going to be but so happy to have it reattached. Just waiting now fit for the sail to get back from the repair shop.
Much appreciated,
Jason

I took down a Hyde stream stay but can't seem to get it back up. This one has the aluminum rod all the way up. I tried loosening the back stay to see if the mast would give a bit more to pull down the furler to insert the pin at the deck but still need a bit more. Is the triasic stay between the mizzen holding it tight still? Any advice on how to get this furler re-attached? Seems so close, maybe quarter of an inch but I tried a couple hours with no luck. Maybe use a halyard to pull the top of the mast forward? Pretty much a newbie on a sailboat so maybe I am missing something easy.
Any help is appreciated,
Jason

What is the best way to fill in old holes and screw holes in the headliner? Is there a good off the shelf filler?
I just want to clean up the look after all the holes left from the previous owners. There is one 2 inch puncture wound but the rest are just screw holes.
Much appreciated,
Jason
