deo tks- is that I need. is a pity you have not others photo more detailled expecially the attack at mast. I see another stay under the boom attached at mast. would be very useful to see "where" at what height from the deck. you did not put a chainplate on thedk but mounted a support ( I thing of strong sea wood ). If you have not others photo and further info would be ok. I have now just what I asked. The transformation is possible, you did it and you sail normanlly. many tks Deo indeed. if you want to post some other info I give you my email :     nellodamelio@gmail.com

tks at all - It is a bit difficult to find info in the web due my english. -- Deo volente  seems to me you had a concrete experience in this modification. please can you explain more simple and pratically where you think needs to put the chain plate on the deck (the distance from base of rollefurl) and how high in the mast have to be fixed the point of connection the new stay? clearly without compromise the structure and make unsafety the boat.. I just would place a small trinchetta sail. do not mind if the project is not ok, if is not professional work and bla, bla, bla. I would only to arise a small salils for night trip and emergency in bad wheater. I sail alone.  tks amigos

hello, as I sail quite all alone and am enough aged would be good to use an staysail expecially for nights, less danger and good sleep. this change will bring me some advantages. does anyone made this transformation adding a stay with his chaiplate on the deck ? the design of the boat permits this modification ? or is dangerous and needs some adds  professional work with his costs ?
all suggestions and info will be appreciated amigos. I have still to start to sail with this boat.

hola marusca y incommunicado first of all sorry for my english. with 365 till now I am without experience. I hope she can front storms.I met a lot of  them and made me stressed. refer catamaran yes is another way to sail.all positive but whit it I did not felt total safety. Santo domingo is ok but not for sailing. much problems and desert about services. my target is to go to los roches and  san blass -panama- so I quite did the entirely round in the caribbean sea.
to put the solar panel, around 400 w I have,on davits is impossible and not convenient. an hard bimini would be ideal but ( and is for this I am asking at forum ) around no many sailors use this system. bye amigos

I am new and do not know if is here the correct place for putting a new discussion. I bought one month ago a sloop 365. as I sail in caribbean and have 4 solar panel I thoungh to install them above the bimini. but never I saw that in caribbean expecially in  monohulls. I am asking Why ? before I had ( lost in honduras last year) a cat and had not problem to install them on davits but in 365 no much space. Before I install would know opinions. maybe would better make a binimi structure in steel ? But is heavy and do not know other problems I can meet in the future. expecially in storm. I have not experience in 365.tks for your info and suggestion.sorry for my english
