Got replys on Cruisers Net.  Seems the vote is for fixed mount due to history of breaking self leveling mounts and cost.

I am replacing the radar & mount on MiSamba and would like to know if anyone has any experience with the self leveling mast mount (scanstrut) and if it is worth the extra cash.  My experience is with fixed mast mounts and am interested to know if the self leveling mount does  indeed provide a more consistent scan image.
thanks

I'm sure you are right Wayne, I'm just not a fan of wire/rope.  But hey...nice blog!

Just found Peters post concerning sheaves March 13th.  Sounds like I need to find a rigger.

I am in the process of changing the running rigging from the wire to rope to all rope and have read a few post about the issue of existing sheaves not working for the new line.  Has anyone had any experience in changing the sheaves and could give me advice on getting this done. thanks

As a new member I thought you might like to have in information on our just purchased P365.
You list has her as SV Impossible Dream, Isle Palm, S.C. Hull#332.  (the list has the hull # as 336
She is now Mi'Samba  (my dance), currently located in Ala. on the Tennessee River.  After updating and refit I will be moving her back around to St. Augustine.FL.
Thanks so much for your efforts in putting this forum together as I certainly will appreciate & need much help and information to do Mi'Samba justice in her restoration.
