Pearson 365 and 367

I have two SAOD transmissions for sale. One  was working, but made noise in reverse, decided to put in a velvet drive. The  other one needs more work.  Both have worn input shafts. $200 for both.  Located in central VT can deliver to Rockland Me and points in between.

Anyone know what the length is of the upper backstay on a 1982 365 Ketch???
My measurement skills are rusty.

Help! I'm  rebuilding my trany and  one of the pins which hold the gears for reverse  is loose in the gear case.  anyone have this problem??  the local machinist  will bore out the case and put bushings in it. Is this the way to go?? Maybe I should just forget about since the pin can't escape.

My Paragon Saod died the other day. When I pulled the trany the damper plate had disintegrated. Also the teeth on the input shaft had worn away. The rest of the trany was OK. Maybe you just need another damper.

Hi Everybody

My paragon started groaning in reverse, so I've been rebuilding it in my basement. I was able to get all the parts from Transmission Marine in Ft Lauderdale. They UPS's everything I needed up to My house in VT.
Very quick service and quite reasonable prices.
The rebuild  has been a bit  daunting but it is all back together and I just shipped it down to Fl.

I bought a damper plate on e-bay. I not sure if it fits, but it has the right # of splines and slides on the transmission OK. There is one more plate on e-bay for sale at $55. I'm going to put it on next week. So if anyone is interested e-mail me and let you know if the damper works.
