Here's a view from the outside. You can see that it's not in the way of the seating.

We added ours years ago. Very helpful with ventilation as it can stay open in the rain protected by the dodger/bimini. It's not in the way at all in the cockpit. It's a Beckson port about. 13" X 6".
We've replaced all of our ports with opening ports.

It's a goose-neck. But the good news is I used a Norseman Fitting from the end of a Selden furler (the guys use a different fitting on a new Hunter when they're prepping it) and bolted it to the end-casting. I can show a photo if anyone cares to see it.

Hi All,
I was taking the Mizzen Boom apart for long overdue maint and broke the pin that connects the goose neck casting (in the end of the boom) to the mizzen mast. Does anyone know the manufacturer of the mizzen boom assembly??... or where I might get a new goose-neck pin?
Thanks,
Steve

We are installing CDI roller furling on the main and mizzen plus buying new sails with vertical battens. We are selling our old main and mizzen sails along with the 'stack-pak' type sail covers (I guess we can call them sail covers??). Anyway, the main is 6 years old and was made by Concord Point Sails (they also did the stack-paks). The mizzen is at least 10 years old and was made by Ulman-Skelly Sails. They're in pretty good shape and we'll sell them CHEAP.
take care,
