Last years survey quoted the boat at $43,000.  I purchased her at $30,000 and have put more than another $30,000 into her since... I can only guess what another survey would quote her at with all her upgrades....

Does anyone know if the original port and starboard nav lights (chrome inset into the sheer stripe) on the pearson 365 are still in production/obtainable?  My starboard light green lens bubble has disappeared.. .not a clue how or when it went missing... I'd really reather not have to try and remove, reglass, recut for new lights, or install a rail light and leave the old ones not being used.

I have a Raymarine X10 autopilot with the ST70 Control head... I don't like the control head as the display is not as configurable as some of the older ones but the X10 is a real work horse, rated for vessels up to 12ton, putting one on a vessel that only ways about 7ton gives one a lot of confidence in it's durability and longevity...

For Wind steering (don't have one but lots of my friends do) my preference would be a good old Monitor.  Strong, easy to use, and steers with a an iron fist.  The Cape Horn is also excellent but is much more sensitive and much more trouble for a wind steering virgin to get adjusted correctly and balance.

My favorite berth at sea is indeed the starboard one, but I prefer the lower one, with the sette pulled out the table gives me roll protection and I can leap right up to the cockpit if need be (which is not uncommon since I usuaully sail short handed, either alone or with one person)  Not to mention being 6'2 about 210 getting in and out of the coffin berth takes a bit of wiggling... I probably won't change it but no doubt it will continue to be full of clutter.

not a bad idea... would be nice to have some shelves to make better use of all the space  but no boat is perfect

I've been living on my 365 for about 6 months now and have yet to figure out a good way to reconfigure the startboard coffin berth... I thought of putting in cabinets but this would greatly hinder access to the stantion bases, chainplate, and shower plumbing... so as it stands it's pretty much just junk bunk...

has anyone on here done a makeover on their starboard coffin berth??  Do you have pictures?  Do you like it?  How much does it hinder accessing those hard to reach places...

That little cubby is the "wet locker"??  that doens't make sense at all... the cabin sole extends up onto the hull there, like it does under the chart table... anything wet put in there would just drain into the little box beside the engine compartement and then on to the sole under the chart table/companion way before finding it's way into the bilges.. talk about messy.

I also use the shower as my wet locker. The cubby by the chart table is my "bosun's locker".

I have the exact same set up as SV Third Day, and have no complaints either. 

One large parallel bank is better IMHO... just do a monthly check on fluid levels to make sure everything is where it should be and you shouldn't have any problems with one bad battery pulling the rest down.

good topic and lots of good info... I had a similar problem but never figured out the cause... i assumed it was just coming through where the rudder is seated on the skeg... now I know and will address the problem more thoroughly when next I go on the hard... maybe fill the skeg with epoxy to make it solid... if it won't bond to the bolts thus and make the thing incapable of beind disasembled.

I use a cunningham as a preventer/vang when on a run but other than that I think the simple main on the p365 sets better than a lot of high-speed new boats I've been on with vangs and tracks so I'm not going to add a vang in the forseable future.
