I rebuilt SOLSTICE's manual bildge pump this morining and the spares kit I ordered came with two full sets of spare gaskets, screws, valves etc. tTe kit cost me $50 from Go2Marine a month or so ago. Anyone want the extra set for $25 plus shipping?

Let me know.

What about the group purchasing the boat. Say a purchase price of $40K with 200 members contributing, the cost would be minimal (think timeshare). We could then have the boat available, maybe moved to SF, and managed by someone or some group. If a reservations type schedule could be created and annual maintenance fee assess... sounds interesting.

Do you "Navy blue guys" have photos? We will be looking to awlgrip SOLSTICE in the next few years and we have always had a soft spot for NAVY hulls.

All,

I am beginning the process of purchasing a winter cover and frame for SOLSTICE. I have settled on a company from Kingston Ontario: Top Shop. One of the boats @ our yacht club has one of their covers and raves about it ( had it for 7 years now).

I am looking for  P365 Ketch in the Annapolis area that we could use to measure (they do not have a pattern yet for the P365). They will be at the boat show this coming week, and would simplify the process.

If you are open to allowing them to measure your boat as a proxy for my 1980 ketch, please contact me @ bobgronberg@gmail.com or 603-203-0406 (leave a msg)

Thanks in advance!

Can we start a list of home ports and desired sailing distances? I have S/V SOLSTICE (#384) and hail from Boston (Old Colony Yacht club in Dorchester). Anything a couple of days sail up and down the cost works for me. We might even be able to host something at OCYC.

How about a 365 rendezvous in New England waters this summer?

It would appear that there are still a number of Pearson 365's in the New England area. Wouldn't it be great to have a get together somewhere. Has anyone ever organized something like this. They are starting to build Pearsons again ( saw the hull drawings at the Boston boat show a few weeks ago), maybe we can do something in RI.

Now is the time to plan this type of event, as we start to think about unwrapping our frozen boats.

let's start a discussion.

Anybody use Super Sailmakers out of Fort Lauderdale for sails???

I am looking to replace my original set of sails for SOLSTICE (#384 Ketch). I am looking at around $4500 for a full battened main (8.0 weight) mizzen (7.5 weight) and a Yankee cut 110% jib. Thoughts, recommendations, lofts you love. We are located in New England so the location of the loft is not important. I suspect these sails will last me 10 years+ so the relationship with the loft is not all that important at this point. Looking for quality work, great product and appropriate customer service.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did that race in 2001 in a Kirby 25 (Parsons project) and we were second over all.... did I memtion that we did not have running lights and this was weeks after 9/11... the raqdio chatter was interesting and I was sick for the entire race.

Any of the Pearson Ketches looking for crew... short flight down to Houston.

Pearson 365 Sloop $15,000

I am looking for a quick sale to avoid winter storage. The selling price is $15,000, this season. For a good solid P365 this is a good value. The boat needs some work. The hull is solid. The sails and deck gear are high quality and mechanically sound.

The mast is down for transportation. New mast step.
