I am looking at buying a Pearson 365 and I am also in Gulfport MS, how do you like it so far ?

So I found a fixer upper Pearson 365 ketch and right now it looks like it will need chain plates and a new engine since it has sat in a yard for a few years the westerbeke w40 seized up and one of the chain plates completely corroded through. Is there anything else I should check out ? Are these great bluewater boats? I do want to do some sailing in the keys and then eventually some USVI and Caribbean cruising. It does have a water maker and a little bit of solar but it will need painted on the deck sails are in ok condition. What is the cost of some new sails for a Pearson 365? Oh it does also have a older radar and autopilot. Second thing is it is Flagged of Canada Registry so I will have to deal with customs and wondered if anyone has done that and how much that usually costs. I sail in Mississippi and customs has never even messed with any of the boats here how do they even know the boat would be from Canada ? I like the Pearson 365 and at the price I'm getting it for I feel like I can't go wrong but also I was looking at a Pearson 39' that is already in the water and ready to go but at 30k and no radar and no water maker and no solar or dinghy/solar rack.
Figured I would ask here and see what everyone thinks.
I am Cody and right now I just own a Hunter 27 but want to upgrade to the Pearson 365.
