Pearson 365 and 367

I have done the same to replace the rear main seal. I blocked both sides or the companion way on the deck put a heavy wall inch and a half pipe across and used a chainfall. Removed the forward engine mount nuts, I didn't remove the rear mount nuts. Disconected driveshaft, transmission,bellhousing cleaned every thing did a very careful job with the new seal ( Perkins new seal) Put everything back togeather .I didn't have any leaks in the 4-108 for about fifty hours then the seal started leaking again. Looking back on that project the only thing I would have differenty is to use an after market silacone seal.                     Allen

I agree with Pete, have an custom arch made. I took a look at the Kato island davits they are just like the original Pearson davits. It still comes down to where you use your boat. Inland waters the Pearson or Kato would be ok.For offshore work the stern is to low to hang a dink. Wayne with all of his offshore miles would tell you the only place for the dink is straped to the fordeck. I hope this helps. Allen

 Well things change in life . We have now owned maintained , upgraded and loved Incommunicado for 27 years. She has been a wonderful addiction to our family. The time has come to sell her. We are asking 50,000 well worth the price. Allen

Moon Dancer, I have replaced all of the exterior teak on Incommunicado. The job took a lot of labor and time but well worth it. I cheated by putting the boat on a trailer and taking it to my home close to my shop. I used solid teak lumber 2 1/4 x6 1/4 that I milled to finish size 15/16 . I used the old teak as patterns to be able to use all the existing screw holes. That project I finished over four years ago still no water leaks anywhere. I have pictures of the process I will post ( I will have my wife post) Good Luck It's well worth It. Allen

Wayne, Here is what you need for your prop shaft. Aqualoy stainless steel A 22 82 and 3/4" X1 1/8" single taper. As far as the dampener plate I think they are the same for a 107 and a 108 . I have had three different tyrannies they all fit the dampener plate . I do hope this helps. Allen
