Title: Posting pictures??!!??
Post by: POG on December 12, 2011, 04:08:59 PM
This site has many wondrous features as I have gradually discovered.  However, a picture is worth a thousand words - and, clearly, I am not the only one having difficulties posting pix.

In the days when I bought the boat and joined this forum I was able to place my appropriately sized pix on my desktop - then use the "attachments" option to select them and have them posted in conjunction with my text.

I am now told  to join Photobucket (which I have done) and upload my pix to that internet service (which I have done) and then....????  I seem unable to grasp how to get them onto my postings.  Trying to follow the instructions by the Revered Administrator Boren does not work, neither do I seem to get success from the Photobucket instructions.  All that ends up in my posting is the Label and jpeg ID of the photo as text - no picture.

How do I post multiple pix when copying one and then copying another will wipe out the first one copied.

Please help!  Or better still - revert to the old system that allowed this frustrated geezer to attach pix from my own computer.

Okay-  I think I can help you with the help of a screen shot from Photo Bucket.

Step one-   Select the photo you want to have while in your photobucket account  The screen should look like the one I have shown here.  Copy the "IMG code" that I have circled in red.  To Copy, simply left click on the code with your mouse and photo bucket will copy it for you.

Step two-  Create your posting on the P365 site.  Paste the IMG code somewhere in your post.  Click on the "preview" button.  The code will not show up as a photo until you click the "preview" or "post" button.

Your photo should now be "hyperlinked" to the P365 site.

You can practice this by using the Preview button as many times as you would like.

This is the same method I used to hyperlink this screen shot that I loaded onto Photobucket.

Does this help?
