Title: Club Foot Boom Post
Post by: Shacklepin on November 03, 2011, 03:30:42 AM
WANTED WANTED : I am looking for the Post and Swivel Unit for mounting a club foot boom on my 367 Cutter. When I bought Ebb Tide one of her previous owners had removed it and filled the holes. I am trying to return her to her original condition and former glory so Ideally if anyone has an original and is willing to part with it for a moderte amount of the folding stuff I would love to hear from you. Alternately if there are any suggestions for an alternative I would again be very appreciative. I have seen such boats as the Pacific Sea Craft  that mount a swivel on the baby stay but I much prefer the original mount if possible. Thanks for viewing

Keep an eye out on E-Bay.  About a year ago a NOS one sold for $60 bucks.  Yea you read that right, I even thought of buying it myself because it was so cheap.  But, what would I do with it?

Forespar made the original equipment item but they no longer sell that unit.  It does not look that difficult to replicate.  Next time I am on the boat I will scope it out.  There are no moving parts with the exception of the strap on top that revolves around the big bolt.

After looking at the picture I just might remove mine to "clean" it up a bit.  Perhaps we will know more after that.

Good Luck
