Title: 12 volt ground buss
Post by: ishmael on June 03, 2011, 08:49:57 AM
Does anyone know where the 12 volt ground buss was in the 1980 era 365 ketch was located?  I can't seem to locate a buss bar and the ground wire from the loads goes back to a common connection ( all wires twisted together and taped)  behind the DC panel.

Thanks,
Ron

Mine is on the forward bulkhead of the port cockpit locker behind a perf-board panel, the whole grounded to the engine lug. Jim

Thanks Jim,

I don't think mine lives there but will check.  I don't see any wiring from the batteries neg to that area.  I do see a ground wire on the engine but it quickly gets lost in the mass of wiring running over the engine to the 12 volt panel.  I'll let you know if I can ever find the darn thing.
