The P365 brochure lists the fuel tank as holding 50 gal. The cut through drawing of the boat shows the tank bottom sloping forward following the angle of the hull.
I opened up my inspection plate and did my best to clean out the tank, finding that the job was easier than I thought as the bottom of my tank is flat. What I have is a rectangular tank that holds just about 30 gal. No slope to a lower forward edge.
I have no reason to think that this is other than the original tank installed at construction of my hull #118. A bit of a bummer as I will be forced to carry jerry cans in every possible place on my scheduled Pacific crossing, leaving San Francisco early April.
Am I the only unlucky one with this dwarf tank?

Windrider is a 1980 vintage hull # 316.
As best I can tell my tank is the original. It's aluminium, has no access port, so I can't tell you the shape on the bottom.but does hold at least 40/45 gallons. I've never been able to read the manufacturer's label, but I think it was a company in Florida.
I'm sure Dale and others will be able to give more specifics.
My guess is that your tank is not original.
I'll follow with interest the comments.

A tank with an access cover does not sound original. The tank was probably replaced and made smaller so they could get it in there. You have to saw up the original tank to get it out. There are several posts on this if you do a search. We still have our original steel tank, I'm not looking forward to replacing it when it starts leaking.
Phantom, hull 341, has the aluminum tank that holds around 47 gallons.
I am in lock step with Ray on this one. There was no access port/cover on my original tank. The tank I replaced it with had identical dimensions and according to the drawing holds 49.86 gallons.

Mine is a replacement by previous owner and is 29 g aluminium (yes I am English) flat bottom. Steve Berry has just replaced his original tank here in the last few months.
When we crossed the gulf I carried an additional 25 g in jerry cans I also had 5 g of gas for my Honda genset I made some plywood boxes that just held the cans and secured the just aft of the spreaders, I know the gulf is nothing compared to the Pacific but it worked out very well.

One of the boxes can be seen in this photo
Well, that's a surprise. I guess my tank must have been replaced at some stage. It is steel and has a round aluminum 6" inspection plate topside forward to port. Holds 30 gal. Not much tankage for cruising....
