Why wife complained of diesel exhaust fumes in the cabin while out yesterday, any place in the exhaust system that's more prone to leaks than others?
Inspection after the fact didn't show any soot marks.
Everything but the manifold itself & the water muffler was replaced December 2008 (hoses, gaskets, clamps, etc.)
We had a mixing elbow crack on the outlet. The exhaust hose covered most of it, but not quite all.
I had this problem last year traced it to the wind in the stern blowing the exhaust gas back in the blower vent, with the front hatch open caused a vacuum in the cabin, now if wind from astern place rag in inlet, hope this is of help ocean pilgrim
Go get a CO monitor and place it below, even if you're not getting exhaust fumes below its a good idea to have a CO monitor if you are getting fumes below it will alert you to the presence of this most deadly gas!

I replaced the dry part of the exhaust riser pipe twice.
It generaly last about 20 years. It is the 1 1/2 inch pipe form the exhause manafold to the mixing elbow. It is wrapped with insulation. I may be cracked under the insulation.
