Title: cutlass bearing for cutter?
Post by: Leo on May 03, 2010, 11:24:04 AM

We are going to haul SOL and want to replace the cutlass bearing. Any one know the size I will need? My shaft is 1 1/8 but I don't know the od of the bearing or length.

The ketch uses 1 1/8 X 1 5/8 X 4 1/2, also known as "BELT" I would expect the cutter to use the same bearing, but you never know. We keep a spare.

We installed a PSS shaft seal too, we like it.
