Title: Tachometer
Post by: Leo on November 12, 2009, 08:46:38 PM
I'm looking to replace my tachometer. Has anyone done this? If so what replacement did you use. The Westerbeke one is way over priced and I don't find to many 4k units out there with an hour meter. I'm moving them from the bottom of the cockpit, any advise?

Leo

PS. Just replaced all the standing rig except the headstay. That will happen in the spring. New shiny wire! One more big item off the list.

The instruments are made by Stewart Warner. You should be able to find them at an auto parts store.

Leo,

I  have a tach that you can have (or anyone else that wants it for that matter).  It is the stock Motorola unit with 3301 hours showing on it.  It has the wiring and light.  Does it work? It did when I pulled it out.

Thanks for the offer but since it needs replaced might as well go new.
