Title: Newbie
Post by: dave6330 on June 23, 2009, 02:40:13 AM
My wife and I just purchased hull # 279, a 1979 Ketch and she is currently being delivered from Olympia, Washington to her new home in Seward, Alaska.  POLARIS had a very good survey with only a couple of issues that we had fixed before the delivery skipper started his trip North.  No doubt in my mind that, after she arrives, I'll be posting endless questions to the other Pearson 365 owners on this site.  Be patient, Polaris is only our second boat and I'm still learning.  We couldn't be more excited!

Welcome aboard. A search on Google shows you as relatively close to Kenai. My aunt lives up there. Cool place in the summer. Not sure I would trade my winter sailing down here in Galveston though....Have fun wtih your boat!!

Kenai is fairly close (by Alaska standards) -- about 6-7 hour's drive South.  We live in Peter's Creek, about 20 miles North of Anchorage.
