Post by: EdHouston on May 01, 2008, 07:29:55 PM
Hi all

I have a great rate from progressive for my boat insurance but they have a 75km from the coast limit any ideas on short term policy writers.

I use:
Gina Glassell
Hayden Insurance Svc. Inc.
3408 Via Oporto #203B
Newport Beach, CA 92663
(800)723-1170
fax (949)723-1171

I have an excellent rate, and she worked the phones to get me the best value.
You are talking about nautical miles (M or NM) correct?  You have km I think its a typo.
Regards,
Marc

It seems that all the ones with reasonable rates have an offshore limit. Just make sure you can purchase a rider for it. Assuming you will be racing int he offshore regattas that I am planning on, you would only need one once a year for GBCA's "Run For The Border", and LYC's Veracruz. All the others are well within the limits you have specified.
