Title: Damper plate
Post by: sailn on December 27, 2023, 11:00:31 PM
I have a Universal Diesel 5444, with a Hurth zf 12m transmission in my 367. I have found broken springs in my damper plate, and need to replace it, but I can't find any markings. Does anyone know what size/brand was used, and what I can replace it with. Thanks for any assistance.

Here's what I used on my boat. Good customer service. Not the cheapest product but the best and a good company. Loose the springs and get a quieter ride.
You can call them and they will help you pick a plate.  They ship world wide (I got good service in New Zealand!)

From their website:

What's Needed To Place An Order?

There are a few pieces of information you need to know in order to place an order. Information such as:

Engine: Make, model, max horsepower and max RPM?
Transmission: Make, model and number of teeth on input spline?
Backing Plate: Diameter, number of holes, pitch circle diameter? (PCD / 12:00 to 6:00, center of hole to center of hole)

Good luck!
