Was the boat named SHADOW before you owned it?

I did'nt name her. I kept her name "Snow Goose"  She was originally named Kalimba. Thomas O'Shaughnessy bought her in 1987 for the sum of $57,000. and
named her Snow Goose. He sailed her all around New England, down to Nova Scotia, and out to Bermuda. Thomas was an engineer and also a Power Squadron instructor. He loved the boat and purchased a lot of new equipment for a refit he intended to do, but sadly he took ill and died a few years after.

The Snow Goose, inherited by his sons David and Paul, sat for nearly 10 years on the hard, outside Tom's condominium, where he could view it. The masts, standing rigging, running rigging, and electronic equipment was stored at North East Rigging Systems, of Concord, Massachusetts during that time. The boat was stored on the hard in Danversport Mass, way up at the end of the river.

Neither Paul nor David had time or inclination to finish the task of refitting that their father started. I, Duncan Miller, a friend of the family and a sailor, was given the Snow Goose in 2016. I installed all of Thomas' standing rigging and running rigging with the assistance of Nick at North East Rigging. I installed all of the Raymarine electronics, which had been sitting in their original boxes since 2007: nine years old, but all in original, perfect condition.
