Title: 365 height
Post by: Alan E Skeldon on August 28, 2021, 12:42:40 PM
I couldn't find a post regarding this: does anyone know the overall height from keel to the highest part above deck, less the masts? I ask this because it's a required question when filling out quotes for hauling over the road.

Thanks,
Alan

Alan,
The door on my boat barn was 13ft high and I had a few inches clearance.  The distance from the keel to the ground when it was on the trailer was a foot, so it is under 12ft high with bow and stern rails in place.

When mine was hauled from the backyard on the trailer. I believe it came in at 12'6'' and a foot of that was trailer.

Here is a thought, buy a $40 dollar 2 x 4 x 8 and place it level across the cabin top hatch. Measure from the 2 x 4 to the surface of the water.  Add on the 4-1/2 feet draft and that should verify the overall.
