Title: Mizzen Mast Support Beam
Post by: SVHope on January 05, 2021, 02:34:15 AM
Hi All,

Could anyone tell me if the plywood panel that is attached to the supporting beam beneath the mizzen mast is standard on all P365 models? (See photo's)

I would like to remove this panel to inspect the supporting beam that it is attached to.

I noticed water dripping on the thermostat housing and softness on the underside of the beam.

The radar cable exists through the bottom of the supporting beam from inside the mizzen mast. I suspect the wood has rotted out through water ingress.

Any advice on how to tackle this repair would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Hey Michael,

We have a 365 sloop so results may vary on how it compares to you... that being said we have the mast support beam and don't have the plywood box. It looks similar to your pictures and, if all's the same, you should be able to remove the plywood without compromising the support beam.

Hope that helps,
Scott

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the reply. I guess it's back to the boat this weekend.
Regards,
