  Has anyone here used Spartite?  Pros... cons?

Used it.  Worked great!  For about 6 months till we pulled the spar and it never sealed again.

  I suspect the weakness of Spartite is the vaseline you are instructed to smear around the hole so it doesn't glue the mast to the cabin top.  I may fabricate a removable chock system with neoprene rubber or something similar.  To waterproof it, we'll make up a mast boot strip out of Sunbrella and seal it with rigger's tape.  We pull spars every two or three years for inspection & maintenance so maybe it's best to stick with the old ways.  Cheers!
