Title: In the middle

We have the plastic covered with plywood and teak combination.  Now we also have many visible holes in the floor left by the screws, and are in the process of looking for an appropriate replacement material.  We have given thought to replacing it with a marine veneer (for a similar effect & approach), but are presently exploring further options for a solid wood.  The cardboard sounds like a good idea for making a template.  As woodwork is not a forte for either of us I think we will be consulting with friends for recommendations of how to proceed.  Our options aren't quite the same as most people as the boat is presently in New Caledonia, but we shall keep you informed as to what we eventually do.

We welcome any recommendation anyone has for types of wood and woodwork techniques.  Best of luck to anyone attempting this project.   As always it is wonderful to hear about everyones ideas and projects for working on the 365/367 it helps inspire us!

Cheers,
Sara & Philippe
