Title: My secondary fuel filter looks great!
Post by: Nereid on March 25, 2018, 09:16:53 PM
So I just replaced the secondary fuel filter (on engine) ..  Saying "much needed" doesn't begin to explain this crap..  Anywho, any one have suggestions on where the o rings go?  The new one (Baldwin also) had a bunch that came with the filter. (//)

My primary filter had the same crap. I changed it and one month later had the same clogged filter. I think it's bacteria in the fuel. I'm having the tank cleaned before the boat goes in the water.

The O-rings go on the mount.  Do NOT put them on the filter.  Learn from my fail.

When you say they go on the mount and not on the filter how do you mean? The manual says there are 3 o-rings. one between the stainless cup and the bottom of the filter, one between the top of the filter and the filter mount. and the last one over the retaining bolt that fits in the filter.. Should there not be one there?
Thanks!

Must be a different filter system then.  Mine only had one o-ring.
