Title: Shelves in Salon Cubby holes
Post by: P69 on October 11, 2016, 11:56:03 PM
Has anyone subdivided the cubby holes outboard of the settee backs in the salon with shelves? They seem kinda cavernous and I'm thinking of adding a shelf in some or all  six of them.

I did cut out a hole (~13" x 12") in the side of the shower stall to get to the sealed-off area outboard of that panel and below the wine rack.  I was surprised by how much room is in there.

At first, I thought I had made a mistake because the first hole saw cut revealed only 2" of air space between shower liner and some  3/4" plywood. But!   I cut through that  and found  an area that is almost as big as the space under the head sink.

I just now need to make some shims to make a flat spot for the water proof hatch. The surface of the shower stall is curved and the hatch is flat. That shouldn't be too hard.

I'll toss up some pictures when that is done.
