Title: What hose to connect block with oil pressure sensor?
Post by: P69 on December 01, 2015, 07:35:32 PM
I have Universal M50 that has a hose with hydraulic fittings that connect a small threaded hole on the engine block, just below the exhaust manifold with an oil pressure sensor/sender that is mounted on of the bolts holding the exhaust manifold to the engine.

The connection with the engine block is right where exhaust enters the manfold, so it gets pretty hot right there.

Horizontal distance from block to sensor is ~4", vertical distance is ~3"

What hose and fittings should I get to replace this?

Thanks

I assume that hose has been on there for a while, so you could go to a hydraulic hose supplier and have them make up another.
I would also consider using copper tubing and put a tension relief coil in it.
