Title: Rebuilt paragon
Post by: Leo II on November 22, 2015, 12:19:21 PM
This summer my paragon saod shat the pooch.  It got stuck in forward, so when I unknowingly put it in reverse there was a lot of broken metals. The Maxine shop had a half broke saod that he canabalized to fix mine. After re install it seems like the boat is going half as fast.  Is there any chance the machine shop has put a reduction gear in the transmission?

Paragon makes several reduction ratios. For the W40 you want the 2:1. It's also possible it's slipping, and will need to be adjusted.

I sure hope it's just slipping
