Title: Fore staysail sheet lead track position
Post by: P69 on July 24, 2015, 11:08:17 PM
Shacklepin,

Are you satisfied with the position of the forestaysail sheet lead  tracks on your side decks? I put mine on the coach roof just outboard of the grab rails (4' length each side, straight T-track). Seems to work bit always wondered if the angle is too close.

Other cutters-with-no-club-staysail owners:

Where did you put the sheet lead track, deck or coachroof  and it it working out?

I actually put the tracks on the coach roof inboard of the dorade box location. They are only about 30". I have found them to be just right since I wanted to be able to get the staysail flat and also be able to back the sail to heave to. I just have the sheets run through clutches but have been considering using Spinlocks that are quick release.
