Title: Adding a wood heater

Can anyone tell me what to expect when I cut into that flat spot in the deck that seems to be designed for a stove pipe?

Just a 3/4" core of plywood.

Does anyone have a 4" stove pipe running through the deck? What fitting have you used?

We do have a 4" stove pipe, but it isn't at the pearson location.  Our fitting that goes through the deck is from Dickinson marine/Sigmarine. (Sigmarine bought Dickinson or the other way around)  We have a rain cap and deck fitting shown on this sight.  Overall it works pretty well.  We have a Dickinson diesel heater.  http://www.sigmarine.com/accessories.html
